What is the name of this plant?
It's not a four o'clock. They have smallish flowers, shorter than the length of your shortest finger, and are trumpet-shaped with a very narrow tube.
It is not a moonflower. That has a very large white flower but it is clearly a vine. Moonflowers are related to morning glories (Impomea), but they open at night.
It might be an angel's trumpet (brugmansia) or a datura, both of which are bush-like in their habit. My guess: angel's trumpet (these are often white -- I have not seen yellow -- but the links below shows yellow).

(This assumes that you are not dealing with a cactus or succulent.)
Reply:Some are called Moon plants, they are short and the flower points up and smells heavenly. Then there are some called Angel Trumpets. Some of these have blooms that point up, in colors of white, yellow and purple and then some have blooms that hang down. They are in colors of peach, pink and I think there is a yellow color also.
Reply:It's either an Angel Trumpet or a Moon flower.
Reply:IT IS A "FOUR O'CLOCK"
THEY COME IN PINK ALSO
AND ARE VERY FRAGRANT....
WAIT.... HIBISCUS SIZE?..... WOW..... i WANT ONE!
Reply:Check out the web.
Reply:You don't describe the type of growing style or the appearance of the greenery.
My Mother had a Night Blooming Cerus. Ugly greenery that looked like ridged snakes growing
up a tree. But the blooms only occurred once or twice a year at night and they were georgeous. Hers was white.
Reply:Around here we call them moon flowers, but I'm sure that is not the actual species name. I'll ask around if someone doesn't give you the correct name in the next few hours.
Reply:well my mom used to have flowers that were called morning glorys, but they opened in the morning and closed at night.she says there might be a "moonflower" out there, but i'm not sure.good luck.
Reply:If it is a huge plant it may be an Angels Trumpet the flowers only open early morning and dusk.
