Help me identify these plants...characteristics describe...urgent?

I've tried all means getting to identify plants i have collected...but there are some elusive ones...please help identify their families (taxonomy) and common names...genus and species included would be appreciated for future references...



1. Purple flower (yellow when pressed dry), dicot, woody stem, small leaves...

2. Leaf...with fibre ends, parellel in opposite directions, dicot( i think)

3. Evergreen Plant. Smaller version of yam plant leaf. thin stem

4. Triangular, net-worked leaf, thorns on stem

5. jagged leaves resembling maple. Small yellow flower...5 petals, with 3 'subpetals on each...soft stem

6. blue flower, creeper plant, pods, oval leaves

7. small red flower, big leaves (typical drawing shape)

8. yellow elongated flower, evenly-jagged leaves

9. purple flower (bundled)

Maybe if you supplied images of the plants and collection location information I'd be able to help, but as it is these are hugely vague.

You might try visiting a local herbarium, too.
