When the bloom dies do i cut the whole "head" off or just pull off the dead petals?

i dont know what the plant is called but it has tiny yellow 1/4 in flowers clustered in a dome shape. do i just pull off the dead flowers or cut the whole dome off

when the flower is spent, you may pull off the head or clip it off just below the base unless you notice that it is setting seeds. In that case wait until the seeds are mature then pick the seeds off and save to plant. Good luck.
Reply:i would say either way. i cut my roses cause of the thorns ouch!!!!

Reply:Called deadheading. Cut the whole flower off.
Reply:Cut the whole thing off down to the first set of leaves. if you let some Annuals set seeds they will die shortly thereafter cause they have done what they were intended to do... ensure the species survival.
