Girls - Would you prefer to be surprised with flowers at work or in person?

Me and my GF attend and work at the same college... so I see her often. I got my first pay check and I want to do something special and give her flowers.



I plan to do the following arrangements -



6 white roses - showing that I care

5 yellow roses - signifying friendship

1 red rose - love



Purpose is that I want her to know that I care of her and will be there for her; with the friendship and trust that we have, love will surely come.... This kind of summarizes what our relationship is currently like.



I want to write her about the meanings of the colors but I am not sure how to come about it... She is a simple girl and I dont know if I should just explain to her through a poem or directly tell her in writing.



What do you guys think about this arrangement and idea?

Much more romantic, do it by a big body of water (lake, river, ocean) or a place thats quiet and romantic and peaceful then retrieve the bouquet from where you had hid it earlier behind the tree and surprise her! or take her out to a nice restaurant and give her flowers at the door!
