Orange, Pink & Yellow as wedding colors?

I am still having a hard time to make a final decision on wedding colors. I have came up with so many color combinations. My two favorite colors are pink %26amp; orange. So, I thought add a little yellow and its a possible color theme. Sunset colors... The bridesmaid dresses would be orange with pink, yellow, and orange flowers. Am I completely crazy? Many people think I am outta my mind....Please help?!! Here's the dresses that I've picked.

Btw, Wedding is August 23, 2008....outside garden wedding in the early evening...Thanks in advance.

Orange, Pink %26amp; Yellow as wedding colors?
I think if done with the right shades it can be pretty. Sometimes you have to see everything put together before you know if you're going to like it or not. I can envision that and I think that would be fine. I like the accent of yellow to the pink/orange and I'd stick with that if I were you.

Edit: Your dresses are nice, but I didn't see the orange swatch to view it in?
Reply:Orange is a beautiful color for an outdoor wedding. I suggest orange, white and yellow. Click links below to see ideas.

Reply:The dress is beautiful! I am assuming that the color you picked was the Persimmon?

I think you are headed in the right direction with your color scheme, but you need to be careful about putting colors that are too delicate with this dress. This dress is bright, deep and dramatic in coloring - your flowers should have about the same depth of coloring as well. Instead of pink, go with fuschia. For the shade of yellow, it should be a deeper golden yellow - sort of like the color of a buttercup. Instead of orange, which will get lost in the back-drop of the dress, you should consider an accent color - I would personally consider a deep, true purple and plenty of greens. Go in to see a florist with this and some other suggestions, find out what flowers are in season then and ask the florist to put together some of the flower and/or colors so you can see what they look like together.
Reply:Wow those are bright colors. For a garden wedding I think bright is nice. I would suggest that you have the bridesmaid dresses pink instead of orange, they can use pink dresses again, orange is not that common for a dress. You really don't need yellow because pink and orange go so well together. Check TheKnot.com real weddings and refine the search to pink or orange, you will see some really cool cakes and bouquet pictures. Great color choice! Good Luck!
Reply:Great choice! I love those colors together. Just don't use yellow as a base color, only use as an accent!
Reply:I might prefer colors a bit more subdued, but in the end it's your wedding and you are the bride and it's your day, so go for it!

(The link didn't work for me either; I think it only works for your e-mail sign-in.)
Reply:I think it'll work great, go with what you AND your fiance like. Unless you are putting together colors that clash completely (magenta pink and Christmas red for instance) then don't worry what anyone else thinks. Your color selections will work well together.
Reply:You are not out of your mind, in fact those would be my colours as well! You will be able to get some really nice flowers to coordinate, I would go with lilies, but you are not crazy at all.
Reply:I think those are prefectly fine colours. Remember that it is your wedding. Don't get caught up in what everyone else thinks, you'll regret it in time to come. You could have gerbras as your flowers as they come in the colours you are after and are so bright and happy. I wasn't able to see the dresses that you had picked, so I am just going by what my ideas of pink and orange are. Hope that helps you and Congratulations and hope it all goes well for you.
Reply:Those are icecream colors. Take out the orange, take out the yellow and keep the pink, mix the pink with medium brown or a teal blue and silver. What I am saying is that you should have one strong dark color and one light. Also whatever you do, don't get print dresses for the bridesmaids...Pick one color you like and go with that. Even though it is an outside garden wedding, you can do bouquets with garden wild flowers. You also can have the girls wear floral wreaths.
Reply:I think the dresses are pretty; make sure the colors REALLY match. I mean there will be certain shades of those colors that would make it look gaudy. If you have the brides maids dresses in orange, then only use the pink and yellow as accents, not too much and maybe use your dress color as the 'canvas'. I mean, you could use ivory table cloths and chair covers with pink chair ties and pink and yellow flowers on the table.
Reply:I think it will look nice but I would choose a contrasting color as well in the bouquets. (purple?)

I just went to a wedding this past august and the girls were very colorful and they looked beautiful. The bride had liked the flowers my girls held and she did something similar. I had periwinkle dresses w/ hot pink, bright yellow roses, purple irises, and light blue delphinium. People thought I was crazy when I told them about it, but when they saw it everyone loved it. She also went bright with jewel tones. The girls wore teal (alfred angelo's is very pretty) and the girls held, yellow, hot pink, orange and purple roses) It was stunning because it was so bright and cheerful. The roses were very bright - not pastel.

You could do pink %26amp; orange lillies which are in bloom and stick in some yellow roses, or black eyed susans too which are yellowy orange with the dark centers (they are in bloom too). Gerbera daisies are also colorful.
Reply:That's ironic!! I'm sorry, but those are my LEAST favorite colors. Me, personally, would pick either green(fav), lavender, blue, or mahogany. I hope I didn't offend you!! Sorry!!
Reply:this can be very pretty. use the yellow roses for the bridesmaids with pink fill and ribbon, forget the orange in theirs due to the dress. Make your more orange with pink and yellow fills and pearls and ribbons. very pretty and great colors for that time of the year. Use a couple of shades of each color.
Reply:You know, I would get a whole bunch of sunset pictures and take them with you to the dress store and to anywhere that you might be looking at colors for the wedding. And I would pick three of those colors that occur in the sunset and stick with them and vary them only slightly. I think that anyone who questions your choices in colors need to look at some of the pictures that I found for you. Although I think I'd go with two brighter colors, like yellow and orange and balance it out with a deeper pink-purple.

I would also look at the color wheel to help you decide.

I live in New Mexico and I know why you love the sunset colors. All of the pics that I pulled up are NM sunsets, because I think they are the best. :)
