I need one that blooms yellow flowers all year. I was interested in the Mexican Poinciana but due to the Florida weather it can grow more than 20' high. Is there a way I can control the height without the tree top looking chopped up? Thanks.
I am searching for a small (10'-15') tree.?
yes it's called topping but I would hire a professional if you try this yourself its going to look bad. You can also manipulate the root system to dictate its growth but again I would consult an expert. Topping is literally cutting off the top of the tree, it takes a lot of skill to do it right so please dont try on your own.
Reply:check out www.naturehills.com, gives you great pictures and characteristics of a lot of different trees and plants.
Not my website, but I use it a lot as a landscaper.
