i brought my mum a Calla Lilly for her bday 1week ago we keep it on the balcony (we live in a flat in Spain, so its getting plenty of sun for most of the day) she has been watering it everyday. one of its leaves has gone very yellow and the stem is going yellow too. one of the flowers has been open a while and is now dieing and another flower on it has recently opened and is fine. why is the leaves going yellow? thank you

If it's being watered every day then it may be too often. A finger inserted 2.5 cm. into the soil should be dry before you water again.

Reply:Calla lilies like to be in shade and have wet feet. If you can manage to keep it shaded and wet, you have a chance of saving it.
