My impatiens are lanky and the leaves are turning yellow?

what is wrong...I see some just florish with mucho flowers and deep green leaves in flower boxes and mine look just plain sick.

Mine grow like bushes! I have mine in the shady area, keep them watered. Sounds like yours are getting either too much sun or not enough water. I also give them miracle grow about every two weeks or so. They look like bushes! You can cut yours back a bit and watch how they get thicker too. Cut off the lanky part.
Reply:They may respond to slow-release fertilizer like Ozmokote and always need to be irrigated. If they are in direct Sun that is a problem as they are shade lovers.
Reply:Probably too much sun, or too much water. I had one like that and moved it to where it gets early sun, then shade. They are going NUTS out there.

Reply:Yes, they are definitely shade loving plants/flowers. Check the amount of water...it may be too much also. They like it moist, but not overly so.
