A boy and girl with mental ill mother. Father tries to poison them. But they runaway. Along the way the boy has a girlfriend thats a runaway and meets up with them. They send letters before they runaway and secret messages under the stamps. The paper back was purple with a yellow flower on it? I read it a couple years ago and looking for it ever since. Any help is greatly appreciated.
