Honeysuckle, big attraction to bees and wasps?

I have recently bought a honeysuckle that produces yellow flowers. I have just realised this is likely to attract lots of bees and wasps? Amember of my household has a sting allergy so i guess i best not plant this.

Are there any specific plants that don't attract bees and wasps? Or better still any plants that they dislike?

Plants that are colorful but doesn't give off a scent.
Reply:Probably plants that aren't as succulent as honeysuckle.
Reply:I had several orange honeysuckles %26amp; got rid of them because of the bees %26amp; also because they tend to spread out of control. They are not for a lazy gardener because they grow very fast %26amp; need to be trimmed frequently.

Hummingbirds love them %26amp; I love Hummingbirds so I got feeders instead.

Sorry, don't know what bees don't like.
Reply:90 to 100 people die per year from insect bites. This is a serious issue for some people.

Try attracting more birds to detour the insects.

Most plants rely on the small birds, insects %26amp; bees to pollinate them. “Any plant” can attract bees, wasps, hornets, etc., some more than others. Anything that flowers will attract insects it’s their nature to do so. Hummingbirds will also pollinate flowers which can be a great feature to the garden with trumpet vines.

Trees, vines, and even grasses will attract insect, these places are dry for nesting purposes; other places that attract bees are gutters, dormers and high ceilings. There is just no way to avoid them. A water feature in the yard can attract them as well. If your friend frequents your home (and yard) a lot then he or she will need to carry an EPIPEN. You need to decide if this friend comes enough to be in any serious danger. If so search online for non-insect pollinated plants. But beware this still will not insure you won’t have any in your yard. Most are air-born insects they come and go at will.

Go luck!!!
Reply:Just about any plant that blooms will attract bees and wasps because of the pollen, especially if the bloom has a sweet aroma. One plant which blooms and tends to repel insects is a marigold.
