Our crab apple tree leaves are turning yellow and falling off it did it last year as well ....?

We have sprayed it with Bonide Borer-Miner killer and have also tried the Bonide Fruit tree spray and it has done little to no good. Any ideas? Is the tree worth saving it does look nice in spring and does flower then turns yellow and looses leaves. The tree is about 17 years old and I am located in Northwest Ohio.

Have you been experiencing drought conditions? It's common for many trees to lose leaves during long dry spells - they begin to go dormant to conserve energy. I would try good, deep watering in periods of no rain.

If the tree did the same thing last year and recovered, I bet it will again.

Then again, you could call a tree service or nursery in your area and ask them.
