I need to know what type of plant this is?

I know it is a weed, that it is nonnative to north america. It grows very tall, has several cones of yellow flowers, very broad leaves growning for a few feet before it the bloom cones begin then one starts grows very tall then smaller cones form around it. View photos on myspace.

I need to know what type of plant this is?
It looks like Verbascum thapsus, also known as common mullein or velvet dock. It is an introduced bienniel that grows in every state, and is considered invasive in many. The plants normally grow to about 6 feet, but I've seen some that were over 10 feet tall. It will eventually produce thousands of seeds, which goldfinches will devour.
Reply:i don't no what it's called but i think it's a parrakeet's favorite food i see them in packages all the time at our dollar store
Reply:I agree the closest thing I can think of is a mullein.
