Does anyone know what this weed is?

I'm at war with an incredibly invasive weed in my lawn and beds. When I look on the web, it most closely resembles the pennywort weed or dichandra. But, it has a yellow flower right now, so that's why I'm unsure if it is either of these. When I pull the weeds out, they have what resemble seeds on the ends of the weed--I think they are spreading this way. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get rid of it?

Does anyone know what this weed is?
well did the web give details of colour of flower on those weeds you suspect? dig and immediately bag or place in a bucket, and do a daily round! it may take a while but sprays don,t kill a coated seed . they come back again and again! dow and monsanto loves you to use their product, as you keep needing more. i hand weeded bindi here in aust.. they get to huuuge size and many seeds all split into 6 or more separate seeds later prickly as hell! all the neighbours who spray are still! spraying...i have none for 12 years! persistance is the key!
Reply:Sounds like a dandelion. And yes that is how it spreads. Just buy some weed and feed.
Reply:it's called a hawthorn
Reply:Be persistent. Don't allow them to go seed. Keep pulling, making sure you get the entire root.
